The Stanford Center for Asian Health Research and Education (CARE) aims to educate patients, providers, and the community about the health needs of Asian and Asian-Americans populations through disaggregated health disparities research. I participated in the CARE Scholars program, a research mentorship program where I learned how to conduct statistical analyses using population-level data to conduct epidemiological studies. Rarely seeing my specific community’s health needs represented in research, I was eager to join this group focused on improving the culturally-concordant and evidence-based delivery of healthcare to Asian communities everywhere.
